Building my tank gasifier

This shows part construction of my 'tank' gasifier. There is a central steel tube and a water tank (old gas cylinder) to be welded around it. This particular gas cylinder was scrapped because a welding torch had almost melted through the cylinder around the neck, it is a miracle that the welder escaped with his life! Please see Safety and disclaimer about the dangers and legality of using gas cylinders. The small vertical tube to the left is to allow air to enter the gasifier where a small fan (a computer fan is adequate) will sit on the top. The small opening at the bottom to the right is for removing ash. A grate sits inside the central tube just above where the air enters.
